Exclusive: Rock Confirmed For Survivor Series, Major Promo Planned
Amidst speculation that The Rock might appear at this year's WWE Survivor Series PPV, due to a Tweet posted by the former WWE Champ three weeks ago, WrestleZone has learned exclusively that Dwayne Johnson is indeed confirmed to appear at this year's annual PPV.
Additionally, WS has learned that WWE is planning a huge media campaign to support The Rock's appearance at Survivor Series 2011, which will take place at Madison Square Garden. "With SummerSlam taking place in Los Angeles, WWE is going to go all out to promote Rock at MSG," a key WWE insider told us this evening.
"(WWE Chairman) Vince (McMahon) really wants to exploit The Rock's mainstream credibility to the max with this major pay-per-view appearance, which will officially kick off the direct push into Rock vs Cena at WrestleMania 28."

Download CM Punk “Chicago Made Punk” Wallpaper!
Well I didn’t expect the most controversial champion in WWE history to return so soon, but I’m glad he’s back! His name, ladies and gentlemen, in case you don’t already know…isCM Punk. The man who turned the microphone into a pipebomb a little more than a month ago and lit the WWE on fire. He won the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank, allowed his contract to expire, and went home with the company’s most coveted prize around his waist, even threatening to go to other wrestling organizations with it. After sending the WWE through a hurricane and literally disabling the Raw brand without a title to fight for, the ‘Voice of The Voiceless‘ is now back with the strap to prove he’s the TRUE WWE Champion. Looks like sh*t’s about to hit the f**king roof all over again!
Crazy how the company changes in just over a week. When Punk left Vince McMahon was in charge. He’s back a week later and Triple H is running the show. What will happen when both these colossal forces cross paths? More importantly, what’s going to happen now that there are two WWE Champions on the same brand? Which, I’m sorry, is pretty stupid because the new belt is practically worthless because it never came off the real champion. That aside, CM Punk’s going to want to unify those belts for sure, and I’m guessingSummerslam’s the right place to set things straight.
So, did I want Punk to return so soon? No. I thought he’d return after Survivor Series. I wanted people to anticipate his return, wait for it, wonder what the Straightedge Savior is doing. Is he biding time? Is he ready to re-sign? Is he just around the corner waiting to return and turn the company upside down again? Those were the questions that were brewing in my head, and I loved it! It’s been so long since we’ve had a superstar with an edge like CM Punk. But who knows…WWE have been pretty awesome of late and maybe they have a solid plan. If that plan is to have John Cena win the title and unify the championship then I’ll probably lose faith in the company all over again. Because it’s a sucky plan that has happened a million times. I want to see Punk rise higher than any superstar in recent memory and maybe even create an era of his own. Remember Austin 3:16? Yeah. That kind of era!
Anyway, Punk’s return is good for so many reasons…one of it being it gives me a reason to make another wallpaper for the guy. This one’s inspired by one of the loudest crowds I’ve heard in a long time. Chicago blew the roof off the building at Money In The Bank, the event that changed WWE’s landscape forever, and they made it very clear that they were proud of their hometown hero. This wallpaper, fittingly titled “Chicago Made Punk” is for the new, returning, WWE Champion CM Punk. Thanks to VKM (via WCFR) for such a fitting image of the WWE Championship belt. Download, decorate, and enjoy folks! And get ready. If CM Punk is back with a vengeance and with the same momentum…things are going to get very nasty very quick.
